OLG INVESTING IN NEW DIGITAL FOUNDATION

TORONTO, ON – Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) is improving the customer experience and ensuring it is responsive to changing customer expectations by investing in digital technology and product solutions. Following a competitive procurement process, OLG has selected Bede Gaming Canada Limited to provide a new enterprise-wide digital foundation.

“Bede will provide a new platform that will act as a central point of integration for OLG’s products and channels,” said Greg McKenzie, OLG’s Chief Operating Officer. “This platform will allow OLG to add new games, improve our online offering and enable mobile responsiveness. We are looking forward to developing our relationship with Bede as OLG continues its digital transformation.”

“I’m absolutely delighted to welcome OLG to Bede and am extremely proud of the team effort involved in bringing this agreement to fruition,” said Michael Brady, Co-Founder, Bede Gaming. “It is a huge recognition of the strength of our offering and firm proof of our status as a leading gaming platform in the industry. This is a landmark contract win for Bede and I am sure will be the start of a long and successful relationship with one of the most respected names in the worldwide lottery sector. We are looking forward to supporting OLG in achieving digital excellence.”

The new digital platform will add to OLG’s existing digital capabilities in areas like player registration and player accounts. It will also have world-leading Responsible Gambling (RG) options built in, giving players the ability to set limits, self-exclusions and other supports tailored to their needs. These RG tools will comply with requirements of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and uphold OLG’s track record as a world-class responsible operator.

OLG expects the new player platform to be in place in early 2020.

Throughout the player platform procurement process, OLG engaged the services of a Fairness Monitor to provide oversight and advice.
