Connecticut Lottery Corporation Position Vacancy Announcement (Open to the Public)

TITLE: Lottery Sales Representative

2 LOCATION: Sales Department, Rocky Hill, Connecticut

SALARY: $61,016.00 starting annual salary

The Connecticut Lottery Corporation has an opening for a motivated, professional, customer service driven person to join our team as a Lottery Sales Representative 2 (LSR 2). An LSR 2 is accountable for performing a number of complex activities to assist, enhance and facilitate Lottery Corporation efforts to promote lottery sales through retail accounts.

Duties include but are not limited to serving as liaison between managers and field staff; interface with other departments to accomplish goals and provide customer service; respond to and resolve retailer inquiries; coordinate investigation of consumer inquiries with other internal departments; manage multiple incoming calls; master ordering and inventory management process to ensure correct retailer product mix; provide support with staffing directives; conduct selected training activities; coordinate and track retailer incentive awards; analyze and format sales reports; develop sales materials for presentation and distribution to retail accounts; assist with meeting and event planning; performing related duties as required.

Experience: Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of seven (7) years experience in sales or a closely related field involving direct responsibility for servicing established accounts and/or contacting prospects to promote products and/or services to companies.

The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; multitasking ability and professional phone etiquette are a must; ability to use available tools and resources to achieve desired results; ability to understand and apply processes, policies and procedures; ability to work independently or in collaboration and make appropriate-level decisions; proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.

A valid Connecticut driver’s license is required. Bi-lingual ability is a plus. College training may be substituted for sales experience subject to applicable rules.
