The Lottery Corporation has named Doug McTaggart as its incoming Chairman

The news: The Lottery Corporation has named former Queensland Investment Corp CEO Doug McTaggart as its incoming Chairman.

The numbers: McTaggart, who has been a non-executive director of TLC since October 2022, will commence his new role from March 1.

The context: His appointment follows the departure of Steven Gregg as Chair, which was announced in October following his appointment as Chairman of Westpac.

TLC was formed in 2022 through the demerger of the highly profitable lotteries and keno business of wagering giant TabCorp. "TLC is now moving into its next phase and progressing to deliver against its strategy. The board and I believe that Doug is the right chairman to take the company forward and I have full confidence that the future for TLC is bright," Gregg said in a statement.
