New York Cash 4 Life lottery game goes daily in July

Starting July 1, you’ll be able to play the New York Lottery’s multi-state Cash 4 Life game on a daily basis.

The New York Gaming Commission Monday gave its final approval to the change from twice-weekly to daily drawings. The change was needed to conform with the eight other states that offer the game and have approved daily drawings.

In its current format, Cash 4 Life has drawings on Mondays and Thursdays.

New York started Cash 4 Life with New Jersey in 2014. Since then, seven other states have joined: Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia.

Cash 4 Life is a lottery-style game in which players pay $2 and pick five white ball numbers from 1 through 60, and then one number from a second field (the “Cash Ball”). Winning payouts can be the equivalent of $1,000-a-day for life or a lump-sum cash award.

Cash 4 Life is one of almost a dozen games offered by the New York Lottery, including Lotto, Powerball, Quick Draw and more.
