The United States Supreme Court, led by Chief Justice John Roberts, has agreed to West Flagler Associates' request for an extension in submitting their petition

BREAKING NEWS: The United States Supreme Court, led by Chief Justice John Roberts, has agreed to West Flagler Associates' request for an extension in submitting their petition for a writ of certiorari in the ongoing Florida sports betting case. The original deadline of December 11, 2023, has been pushed back to February 8, 2024. This extension grants West Flagler Associates additional preparation time for their pivotal case review by the Supreme Court.

Following this new timeline, responses to the cert petition, expected from both the Department of the Interior (DOI) and the Seminole Tribe, are set to be submitted by March 11th. This date accounts for a 30-day period following the deadline plus an additional two days due to the weekend. West Flagler’s reply to these responses is then due by March 25th.

It is important to note that these deadlines could be adjusted if West Flagler Associates files its petition earlier than the extended deadline.
