The Gaming branch is responsible to achieve annual revenue targets through provincially operated gaming activities that align with AGLC's vision of responsible gaming. The branch ensures that Gaming activities in the province are operated with integrity and social responsibility, aligning with Gaming Regulations and Board Policy and deliver on commitments to stakeholders in the province of Alberta.

Gaming activities included Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs), Electronic Table Games (ETGs), Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs), Lottery and Online Gambling.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager, Online Gambling, the Online Gambling Specialist will coordinate and lead the activities for marketing management and communications for Online Gambling and Online Customer Experience. This position will be key in delivering on marketing campaigns, marketing sponsorships, and direct communications, as well as supporting product management for online gambling. Working closely with the external vendor, external stakeholders (casino operators), internal Communications Division, Gaming Division and the Winner’s Edge team, this role will drive the planning and execution of all activities related to marketing and support of product strategy as provided by the Manager, Online Gambling. This role is also integral to delivering the execution, maintenance and performance of the digital customer journey in order to accelerate acquisition and increase customer satisfaction, loyalty and social responsibility.

 

The Online Gambling Specialist is one of the key internal team members that will support the Manager of Online Gambling in overseeing the managed service of the Online Gambling provider, and supports the development of the Online Gambling business strategies, revenue deliverables, marketing and product roadmaps. This position is also responsible for driving traffic and play in order to achieve the Online Gambling sales targets.

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES

A Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, marketing, business, finance, economics or a related discipline is required; a master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of 2 years related marketing, business, finance, economics experience or project management experience, is required, as is digital marketing experience.

 

The following will be considered assets:

  • Experience in development of marketing and product roadmaps.
  • Experience in sponsorship marketing
  • 2 or more years of product ownership, Business Analysis, Application Development and Design or working within an IT environment.
  • Experience in budget management.
