KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 26): Genting Malaysia Bhd (GenM) issued a warning regarding fake news on unauthorised social media and web links related to online gaming, according to its website.

GenM issued the warning following online gaming fake news purportedly linked to The Star Media Group.

“We wish to stress that GenM is not involved or associated in any way or manner to these online gaming sites or notices.

“Please do not trust these links and refrain from circulating them,” it said.

GenM advised the public to visit its websites www.gentingmalaysia.com or www.rwgenting.com to verify matters pertaining to GenM or Resorts World Genting.

However, GenM has not disclosed the content of the fake news or the purportedly links.

At the time of writing, GenM’s share price declined to three sen or 1.12% to RM2.65, giving it a market capitalisation of RM15.7 billion.
