Resorts World Las Vegas introduces cashless gaming on all services

Resorts Las Vegas has announced that, in partnership with Sightline Payments, the new Las Vegas casino resort will be able to accept cashless payments on all services once it opens on 24 June.

The casino will now include mobile-driven technology, where customers can pay for any gaming, entertainment and hotel offering through the Resorts World mobile app.

Developed by the mobile platform Joingo, the app will also allow users to check their Genting Rewards account balance, receive rewards and keep up to date on the resort.

In addition, the venue is also accepting cashless wagering, as well as using a mobile app. Consumers can also utilise a digital login to wager without cash at both slots and table games.

This will be managed by Konami Gaming’s Synkros, which is the resorts casino management system.

Tom Jingoli, Executive Vice president and COO at Konami Gaming, said: “The opening of Resorts World Las Vegas marks a significant historical moment for our city and the global gaming industry, and Konami is incredibly excited to be part of delivering unforgettable entertainment and seamless experiences to guests in entirely new ways.”

Customers can use the resort's digital gaming wallet, GamingPlay, to gamble, while Genting Rewards loyalty members can make cardless logins.

Through the digital wallet, attendees can deposit cash at a NEO kiosk or by enrolling in Slightline’s Play +, which will allow guests to connect their bank accounts.

Joe Pappano, CEO of Sightline Payments, said: “Launching cashless gaming solutions at the first major Las Vegas casino opening in a decade presents a tremendous opportunity for Sightline to further the digital transformation of the consumer experience in gaming.”

As well as the cashless offering, Resorts World has promised seamless integrations, as it has partnered with Genesis Gaming to provide digital table games with RFID bet tracking.

The casino will be the first to introduce a “smart table” that will use RFID embedded chips for every dollar denomination, to provide 100% accuracy on the gaming activity of customers.
