Gaming casinos registered gross gaming revenue (win) of $136,512 million in the third quarter of 2022. In real terms, revenues were 10.3% lower than those obtained in the third quarter of 2019, prior to the pandemic. While they were 9.1% higher than those observed in the third quarter of 2021, at which time the post-pandemic revenue recovery was consolidated.

Regarding visits, 1,620,167 people were registered who entered the 25 casinos in operation, which corresponds to 81.6% of the influx of public prior to the pandemic. Likewise, the trend of recovery of visits is maintained with a monthly average of 540,056 in the third quarter, higher than that of the second and first quarters, corresponding to 508,684 and 495,311 respectively.

In addition, during the third quarter an average spend of $81,977 per visit was recorded, which implies a real increase of almost 10% compared to the third quarter of 2019. This increase in average spend per visit has been reflected since the reopening of the casinos, but as the public returns to the casinos, the positive difference has been narrowing.

Taxes collected and economic offers

The 22 19,995 casinos contributed a total of $46,446 million in taxes during the third quarter, higher than the pre-pandemic contribution. It should be taken into account that since July 31, 2021, the Enjoy Viña casino has been operating in the Viña del Mar commune, the Enjoy Coquimbo casino has been operating since January 21, 2021, and the Enjoy Coquimbo casino has been operating since June 3, 2021.
