dentsu Queensland has retained The Lottery Corporation’s media account
dentsu Queensland has retained The Lottery Corporation’s media account, extending a partnership of more than 14 years.
The new three-year contract follows a competitive market review.
dentsu Queensland will continue to manage media strategy, planning, investment and optimisation across The Lottery Corporation’s portfolio, which includes Powerball, Oz Lotto and Keno.
“This partnership has been the foundation of the agency in the past decade,” said dentsu Queensland managing director Chris Ernst.
“Together we’ve done some fantastic strategic work over the years, however it’s our connection as people and organisations that I’m most proud of. We have common values and both have a clear sense of purpose. Here's to another decade of partnership.”
The agency has supported major campaigns including the launch of Weekday Windfall in May 2023 and the $200 million Powerball jackpot promotion earlier that year. It has also worked on brand updates for Lucky Lotteries and Keno.
The Lottery Corporation’s general manager of marketing, Ben Johnson, said the decision to renew reflected dentsu’s strategic capability and brand insight.
“Our relationship is built on trust, shared ambition and a mutual commitment to evolving together, which is why we’re delighted to continue working with the dentsu team,” he said.
The win follows a period of strong momentum for the agency, which has seen double-digit revenue growth and a series of industry accolades.
dentsu Queensland was recently named in the AFR Boss Best Places to Work list and has picked up new clients including Tourism Whitsundays and Au.DA.
The agency’s wider portfolio includes Good Drinks Australia, Great Southern Bank, Aveo, and multiple regional tourism bodies including Tourism and Events Queensland, Experience Gold Coast, and Visit Sunshine Coast.
