CEO of Novomatic, Harald Neumann, Resigns

It has been announced today that the chief executive officer of one of the biggest international producers and operators of gaming technologies; Novomatic, has resigned from his role.

Harald Neumann has handed in his resignation to the firm’s board after six years in the position, which has been accepted by the majority of board members.

Reportedly, Neumann will continue to work with Novomatic with supervisory board functions and advise the firm on global projects.

Chairman of the supervisory board at Novomatic commented:

“On behalf of company founder Prof. Johann Graf and the supervisory board of Novomatic, I would like to thank Mr. Neumann for his great commitment as Chairman of the management board over the past six years. Mr Neumann made a significant contribution to the successful expansion of the group. His personal wish to resign from his position at the end of the month was granted with regret.”

A short time ago, Harald Neumann was accused of bribery allegations with government officials in an attempt to win gambling licenses, an allegation that the now-former CEO categorically denies.

Novomatic claims that it is positioned for steady, controlled and sustainable growth and will continue to consistently pursue this successful strategy. In its most recent full-year financial reports, the firm confirmed a 10% annual rise in revenue for its previous year to 2.6 billion Euro.
