The Belgian National Lottery is releasing a new international drawing game -Vikinglotto

Everyone has asked themselves this question: what would I do if I won the Lotto? And since 2004, the same question arises when thinking of the next Euromillions jackpot. From this Thursday, a third game is likely to make many Belgians dream, the Vikinglotto.

This is a new drawing game launched by the National Lottery at the end of November. It has existed since 1993 in the countries of northern Europe (Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia) and now extends beyond the Baltic Sea with the arrival of Belgium and, in 2017, from Slovenia. Before that, Iceland had already joined the consortium. “This consortium contacted us to ask us if we wanted to join them. I am very proud to have received this proposal because it shows that the work of the National Lottery is recognized by its peers internationally. “, rejoices Jannie Haek, the managing director of the company.

Concretely, this drawing game works much like a Lotto or Euromillions ticket, with six numbers to play, plus a joker called Viking. In terms of winnings, the basic amount to be won is 3 million euros, with a ceiling set at 35 million euros over the draws.
