IGT’s Cash Pop Fuels Georgia Lottery Corporation’s Innovation Success

Georgia Lottery Corporation recently won the Buddy Roogow Innovation Award for Best New Draw Game at NASPL Deskcon 2020

LONDON -- IGT announced today that its proprietary Cash Pop™ game recently won an award for the Georgia Lottery Corporation at NASPL’s Deskcon 2020. The Lottery won the Buddy Roogow Innovation Award for Best New Draw Game for IGT’s patented Cash Pop game, which launched in December 2019.

Cash Pop was designed to attract a new demographic of players and offer flexibility for operators and players with its easy-to-play game mechanics. Cash Pop gives players the ability to strategize their wager and create their own personalized experience every time they play. Players wager on one or more numbers from 1 to 15 and then select a wager amount of $1, $2, $5, or $10 per number. The player can also choose how many consecutive games to play. Lotteries can choose the frequency of the draws according to their needs, but each draw will be a single number from 1 to 15.

“IGT’s Cash Pop game has been a strong addition to the Georgia Lottery’s game portfolio and our players have gravitated toward its innovative model,” said Gretchen Corbin, Georgia Lottery President and CEO. “The game’s performance has been solid in retail stores and impressive in the digital space, which is driving about 14 percent of our total Cash Pop sales.”

“Congratulations to the Georgia Lottery on the excellent execution of IGT’s patented Cash Pop game,” said Sarah Simpkins, IGT Senior Director of Draw Base Game Portfolio Optimization. “We are very proud of IGT’s Cash Pop brand and that lotteries across the U.S. and Latin America, including the Georgia Lottery, are adding this game to their draw game lineups.”

“IGT’s patented Cash Pop theme was developed through a structured game innovation project in which our FutureGame Team analyzed our customers’ draw game portfolios to identify where we could help create more engaging player experiences,” said Francesco Parola, IGT Senior Vice President of FutureGame and Italy Lottery Operations“Based on current sales figures, we’re confident that IGT’s Cash Pop will continue to gain momentum with our customers worldwide.”
