“This is a great achievement for the California Lottery and great news for our state’s public schools,” Lottery Director Hugo López said. “We know the money to schools is modest, but it helps in real ways. And our team is firmly committed to doing everything possible to make Fiscal Year 2016-17 another record year in prizes paid to winners and contributions to education.”

“We had a stellar year,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery Commission. “In addition to experiencing the world’s largest jackpot, we also launched our first $30 Scratchers game and made improvements and efficiencies.” “We are so pleased to be able to provide an additional $38 million for public education this fiscal year,” Reardon said. “We definitely have our work cut out for us next year to meet or beat this annual profit record.”

“This is by far the earliest in the fiscal year that the Texas Lottery has passed the $1 billion revenue mark,” said Gary Grief, executive director of the Texas Lottery. “With phenomenal scratch ticket sales and January’s record-breaking Powerball jackpot, we anticipate that we will easily break last year’s fiscal year-end record of $1.242 billion to Texas.” “Our tremendous sales and revenue this fiscal year would not be possible without the talent and dedication of our lottery staff, vendors and retailers,” said Grief. “We are committed to our mission to generate revenue for Texas and we will continue to provide players with the best entertainment experience available through innovative games.”

“We are excited to partner with the Missouri Lottery, because through the rigorous RFP process, it is clear they have many innovative ideas that we are excited to incorporate into their new gemIntelligence platform”, said Jean Lombard, President of Lapis Software Associates. “We understand all lottery sales operations are different, and our focus is to deliver the most robust set of features and capabilities that are customized for each lottery’s unique requirements and accessible from all devices.”
