Nevada Gaming Control Board Chairman A.G. Burnett confirmed Tuesday the agency is monitoring reports about the recent $140 million sale of the Las Vegas Review-Journal to the Sheldon Adelson family including questions raised about reporters being assigned to investigate a judge overseeing a lawsuit against Adelson and his Las Vegas Sands Corp.
Tribal Gaming interests have contracts (called “compacts”) with states that include terms and conditions under which gambling is licensed and conducted in the state.  The operation of DFS may represent a conflict with those prior state commitments.
