“Sales over mobile phones are growing strongly and increased by 57% in 2016, which reflects the customers’ appreciation of the gaming experience we provide. Among the products, Eurojackpot stands out with net gaming revenues of nearly SEK 400 million in 2016, an increase of 34%. Full-year earnings reached SEK 4,866 million. We are concluding full-year 2016 with an adequate profit in tough competition at the same time that we show that it is possible to combine growth with responsible gaming,” says Lennart Käll, President and CEO.
The WLA will continue to track the progress of global lottery sales in future editions of the WLA QLSI. Once again we thank all WLA member lotteries participating in this initiative, and look forward to bringing you the final quarter 2016 results shortly. Philip Springuel WLA Executive Director
