Germany: SACHSENLOTTO launches new website at www.sachsenlotto.de

Dortmund, 3 August 2012 – SACHSENLOTTO launched its new website at www.sachsenlotto.de on 23 July 2012. IT service provider adesso used its in|FOCUS direct cutomer platform and the FirstSpirit content management system to develop this new customer portal.

In December 2011, the premiers of Germany’s federal states signed a new gambling and betting treaty which permits state-run lottery companies to offer their services online in Germany as of mid-2012. Headquartered in Leipzig, Sächsische LOTTO-GmbH has taken the opportunity represented by the new legal framework to create a fresh and modern online lotto system. This portal offers participants and prospective business most of the classical gaming options and services online now. It includes Lotto and Toto products from Germany’s DLTB association.

Sächsische LOTTO-GmbH commissioned adesso AG to develop the new internet lottery gaming system as an extension to the multifunctional service and customer portal adesso had already provided for the company. This makes SACHSENLOTTO the first adesso customer in Germany’s gaming industry to use the innovations of the new, modified gambling treaty as a springboard to facilitating the submission of tips online. adesso carried out this extension to the company’s online sales channel using adesso’s direct customer platform in|FOCUS, which is now integrated with Sächsische LOTTO-GmbH’s system landscape along with the FirstSpirit content management system from adesso subsidiary e-Spirit.

in|FOCUS offers customers more than access to an array of sales channels: it also facilitates the customer-focused expansion into all direct marketing channels such as suscriptions, customer loyalty cards and prize payment.

Using the content management system FirstSpirit, Sächsische LOTTO-GmbH can generate, distribute and update content tailored to its different target groups and also embark on a range of marketing activities for different sales channels.
