ATLANTIC CITY -- The New Jersey State Senate has approved the nomination of Matthew B. Levinson and Alisa Cooper to the Casino Control Commission. Levinson, who is a resident of Linwood, will serve as the 7th chairman of the Casino Control Commission. He succeeds Linda M. Kassekert, who chaired the Commission for 10 years. Levinson has been a member of Linwood City Council for two and a half years, a position he will leave to become chair of the Commission. He also worked as Casino Accounting Manager for Resorts International Hotel Casino for a year. Cooper, who also resides in Linwood, served two terms as an at-large member of the Atlantic County Board of Chosen Freeholders. She was a candidate for the New Jersey State Assembly in 2011.
