Players at Canada's Atlantic Lottery Corporation can now enjoy the new location-based online lottery game from UK firm GeoSweep via its ALC.ca domain.
The Atlantic Lottery Corporation manages and operates lottery games in the provinces of Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador while GeoSweep is a lottery game that utilises places instead of numbers.
Utilising Google maps, GeoSweep sees players select real-world places to own on a game board that has been sliced into millions of tiles called ‘Geos’ that are then used as location-based tickets. Players can buy their house, where they were married, their favourite sports stadium or the park bench where they had their first kiss.
“Places are more interesting than numbers,” said Jim Gilbert, Digital Gaming Managing Director for the Atlantic Lottery Corporation.
“We are constantly looking for new products to offer our players and we believe they will enjoy this innovative new game. GeoSweep blends the lottery products they already know with the social aspects of gaming players tell us they’re looking for. The game has only been available in the UK until now so Atlantic Canadians will be among the first to play.”
The Atlantic Lottery Corporation stated that it will hold two GeoSweep draws per day at around noon with players able to bag a top cash prize of up to $250,000. There will also be a guaranteed $1,000 daily game and subsidiary prizes for participants that ‘own’ ‘Geos’ in the Prize Zone.

www.PGRItalks.com. We’ve
received much positive feedback and
hope that everyone accomplished
their objectives. Our next event
will be held at the Trump Miami

is especially exciting for the
participation from our colleagues in
Latin America. The North America
