GTECH PRINTING CORPORATION SELECTED BY SANTA CASA DA MISERICÓRDIA DE LISBOA (SCML) AS A PROVIDER OF INSTANT-TICKET PRINTING SERVICES, FOLLOWING COMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT

LAKELAND, FLORIDA and PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND – June 15, 2012 – GTECH Corporation announced that its subsidiary, GTECH Printing Corporation (GPC), has signed a two year instant-ticket printing contract with Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, Portugal (SCML), following a competitive procurement. GPC will provide SCML with 30% of Portugal's instant-ticket market share and will introduce Secure Shield™, GPC’s secure validation algorithm for use with hidden barcodes. SCML is one of Europe's top-performing lotteries with respect to instant-ticket sales growth. GPC has been providing instant-ticket printing services in Portugal since 2010.
