Playtech Limited to commence trading on the main market of the London Stock Exchange on Monday July 2nd
Online gaming software and services provider Playtech Limited has confirmed that it expects to commence trading on the main market of the London Stock Exchange on Monday July 2nd.
In a statement release yesterday, Playtech confirmed its intention to apply for admission to listing of its ordinary shares on the premium segment of the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and admission to trading on the London Stock Exchange's main market for listed securities.
“The company believes that the Official List is the most appropriate platform for the continued growth of the group by increasing Playtech's profile, assisting in the liquidity of the company's shares and providing a greater range of potential investors for the company,” said Playtech.
Pursuant to Rule 41 of the AIM Rules for Companies, Playtech has given notice of the intended cancellation of trading of its shares on London’s AIM market, effective at 8:00am on Monday July 2nd.
At the same time, the company's ordinary shares will be admitted to the Official List, and will commence trading on the main market of the London Stock Exchange, subject to the receipt of the necessary approvals from the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange.
Playtech expects to publish its prospectus in connection with the Admission on June 28th.
Shares in Playtech Limited have gained 1.79 per cent to 340.50 pence per share in London this morning following the announcement late yesterday.
