Spanish gaming operator CIRSA has reported a 6 per cent increase in total net operating revenues to €329.8m (US$416.8m) for the first quarter of 2012, following growth in the company’s casino and slots businesses.
Cirsa 11% increase in their benefit to March
The company, whose chairman is Manuel Lao Almeria, improves the results for 25 consecutive quarters
EDITORIAL / ALMERÍA | UPDATED 24.05.2012 - 01:00
CIRSA Gaming Corporation, a leading gaming and entertainment chaired by Manuel Almeria side, has released its findings until March of this year, according to which returns to meet their profitability targets by twenty-fifth consecutive quarter.
In this sense, Cirsa has achieved operating income of 448 million euros, 2.1% higher than same period last year, with an operating profit of 77.4 million euros, representing more than 11% in the first quarter of 2011.
Among the most significant stresses that the casinos division continues its growth in Latin America, taking advantage of the favorable economic developments in Panama, Argentina and Colombia, where they have expanded and improved supply in 12 of the best casinos in the division.
In Spain, the B2B division has achieved satisfactory results, based on two factors: the good reception of new products that allow you to maintain a market share above 50% in catering equipment and productivity improvements introduced.
Despite the current situation of the Spanish market, the results of the operational division has progressed favorably, the result of cost containment and other improvements implemented in terms of management.
The outcome of the bingo division has improved slightly as a result of increased average ticket containment and optimization in all items of cost.
The group managing director, Joaquim Agut, said, "the landmark to meet and improve its commitments to the markets for 25 consecutive quarters, in a complex economic environment, you should definitely unconditional support of the property, commitment, dedication and motivation of management, and optimal execution of our strategy on the part of all employees in the various geographies where we operate. "
With this line of action and despite the weak domestic market, Cirsa hopes to achieve the objectives for the second quarter, based on its policy of efficiency and productivity and rigor in implementing their operational plans.
