Will you solve the puzzle? Instant Scratch-Its releases Rubik’s Cube ticket!

The cube craze is back! Instant Scratch-its new Rubik’s Cube ticket transports players back to the ‘80s to when the colourful puzzle took the world by a storm – but this time, there’s a chance to win.

Instant Scratch-Its has released its new Rubik’s Cube ticket, spurring people across the country to try to solve it.

The new $4 Rubik’s Cube Instant Scratch-Its game gives Australians the chance to win one of the two top prizes of $50,000 as well as the other $4.7 million in prizes across all prize tiers.

Instant Scratch-Its spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said that the Rubik’s Cube, originally designed as a teaching tool for architecture students, had become an icon of the '80s and today, inspiration for Instant Scratch-Its.

“When Erno Rubik first created the Rubik’s Cube in 1974, he wanted to help explain three-dimensional geometry to his students,” she explained.

“He had no idea that the movable art piece designed for learning would become the best-selling puzzle of all time, and four decades later inspire the latest Instant Scratch-Its ticket.”

Ms Ramsamy said the new Rubik’s Cube Instant Scratch-Its ticket was designed to appeal to those who loved the classic puzzle and wanted the chance to play to win.

“When playing Rubik’s Cube, everyone will remember the satisfaction of finally getting each little square in its right place and realising you’ve cracked the puzzle,” she said.

“Imagine playing again, but this time you aren’t just playing for the satisfaction of solving the puzzle, but for the chance to win one of the top prizes of $50,000.

“With a 1-in-3 chance of winning any prize on this ticket and a total of 620,000 prizes up for grabs, you could be one of the many players taking home a share of the millions in prize money available on this ticket.”

With a design that replicates the Rubik’s Cube and fun ‘80s themed symbols, Ms Ramsamy said customers would feel nostalgic as they played this ticket.

“As you scratch away the brightly coloured sides, you’ll remember the feeling of twisting and turning the Rubik’s Cube as you tried to solve it,” she said.

“The ‘80s themed symbols, which feature things like cassette players and roller blades, will have players feeling like they’ve been transported back in time.

“The best part about playing this Rubik’s Cube is that if you solve it, you could be walking away with tens of thousands of dollars.”

The new Rubik’s Cube Instant Scratch-Its tickets are available now at the Lott outlets in Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and the Northern Territory.
