Nevada Gaming Control Boards Says Casino Restaurants Can Open

Even though casinos still aren't allowed to reopen for gaming under the terms of Nevada's 'Roadmap To Recovery', the Nevada Gaming Commission says restaurants inside casinos can get back to business.

LAS VEGAS, NV (KXNT) - Even though casinos still aren't allowed to reopen for gaming under the terms of Nevada's 'Roadmap To Recovery', the Nevada Gaming Commission says restaurants inside casinos can get back to business.Thursday night, the commission released terms that the properties would need to follow for their restaurants to start serving again.

Among the new rules: Patrons would not be allowed to access the restaurant from the casino floor. If there are no restrooms inside the restaurant, the establishment must show the gaming commission how customers would be able to access the restrooms without going out onto the casino floor.

Also, the restaurant configurations must abide by the CDC's social distancing guidelines.

Last week, Gov. Steve Sisolak announced the state would enter Phase One of the Roadmap To Recovery plan which allowed retail, food and some personal care services to reopen with strict social distancing guidelines.

The governor has said that gaming would be among the last things to reopen under the 4-phase recovery plan.

On Thursday, the City of Las Vegas allowed businesses in phase one and two to provide outdoor dining and sidewalk sale
