The Ohio Lottery Commission reported gambling revenues from the state's seven racinos, which pair slots and video gambling with horse racing, were $87.4 million in June. That was an 11.9 percent increase from 2017 revenues of $78.1 million

For the first six months, total revenues were $420.5 million. That compares with $412.3 million for the first half of 2017.

Three of the four state-authorized casinos had revenue increases in June, and overall gaming income at the four properties is up 2 percent through the first half of 2018.

At Hollywood Casino Toledo, June revenues totaled $16.7 million, up 3.7 percent from the same month a year ago. It was the best June performance by the casino since 2012 — the first full month the casino was open.

For the first six months revenue at the local casino, which is owned by Penn National Gaming, totaled nearly $102.7 million, which was a 2.6 percent increase over the first half of 2017.

Figures for all four casinos were released Monday by the Ohio Control Commission, whose monthly reports include only revenue from gambling. Income from from food, drink, merchandise, and event ticket sales is not included.

Penn National’s other property, Hollywood Casino Columbus, also had strong numbers.

The only property with decreasing revenues was Jack Entertainment’s other property, the Jack Cincinnati Casino.

In June, the property’s revenue totaled $15 million, which was down 2.3 percent from the same month a year ago when it had revenues of $15.4 million. For the first half, the casino’s revenues totaled $100.7 million, which was down 0.3 percent, the state report said.
