(SHREVEPORT, La)- Starting on August 2nd, the jackpot will be upgraded from $250,000 to $500,000.

The game will also be harder to win big. Players will have to pick six numbers out of 42, bumping up the odds to one in 34.4. 

Before the upgrade, players would have to pick six numbers out of 40, with odds of one in 30.

These new changes are only the fourth time the Louisiana Lottery has changed in the game's 28 year history.
