FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Arizona Lottery and Arizona Cardinals Bring Instant Fun to Football Fans This Season

Lottery vending machines to be installed in State Farm Stadium for the first time ever, so Arizona Lottery players have even more chances to win big on game day.

PHOENIX (Sept. 5, 2019) – The Arizona Lottery and Arizona Cardinals are kicking off the season with a huge first: Lottery vending machines will be up and running, selling the full line of instant and draw games inside of State Farm Stadium, beginning at the team’s regular season opener on Sunday, Sept. 8. This is the latest and greatest development in the Lottery’s 20-plus year history with the team, resulting in their becoming one of 3,000 lottery retail locations across the state.

“Installing Lottery ticket vending machines at State Farm Stadium will be a win-win for our players, many of whom are Cardinals fans,” Executive Director of the Arizona Lottery Gregg Edgar said. “We are excited to partner with the Arizona Cardinals again, and we can’t wait to watch our players scratching in their seats while winning with their team.”

The excitement does not stop with vending machines. The Arizona Lottery Street Team will be activating at each vending machine at every Cardinals’ home game, with a chance for players to win 2020 season tickets.

Arizona Cardinals fans now join Arizona Diamondbacks fans, who already enjoy the playing Arizona Lottery games in the comfort of their seats at Chase Field.

The addition of vending machines at State Farm Stadium is also great news for the entire state of Arizona, building on the Lottery’s record-breaking $1.07 billion in sales for FY2019, with more than $225 million of that benefitting over a dozen state-run programs. Financing the higher education infrastructure built and maintained by the Board of Regents, acquiring the habitat through the Heritage Fund to protect and promote our unique and iconic wildlife, and funding the Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA, to speak in court for abused and neglected children are just a few of the 18 beneficiaries that receive hundreds of millions of Lottery dollars every year.
