New Appointments Made to Missouri Lottery Commission

The Missouri State Lottery Commission welcomes two new members, following appointments from Gov. Parson this week. Bob Gattermeir of Lake Ozark and Lance Mayfield of Viburnum have been appointed to serve three-year terms on the five-member commission.

Gattermeir, a Republican, is a broker and owner of Gattermeir and Company, Inc. Realtors. He is a lifelong resident of the Lake of the Ozarks area and a graduate of Westminster College in Fulton.

Mayfield, a Democrat, is an agent for Farmers Insurance Agency, as well as owner of Ozark Country Cabins in Branson. He attended Phoenix University.

“I am pleased to welcome our newest commission members,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery. “I look forward to working with them as we continue to pursue ways to maximize our profits for public education.”

Commission members are appointed by the governor and approved by the Senate to govern the Lottery. As outlined in Missouri Statute 313.215, no more than three members can be of the same political party. Commissioners receive no salary and serve various terms, ranging from one to three years.
