New Hampshire’s Sports Betting Market

New Hampshire residents have one mobile sportsbook available to bet on, and that’s DraftKings. The New Hampshire Lottery Commission reached an agreement with DraftKings Sportsbook to become the sole online operator in the state. The state’s lottery commission oversees sports betting in accordance with the laws of the state.

New Hampshire was the 16th state to legalize sports betting on July 12, 2019 and officially went live on Dec. 30, 2019.

Residents also have retail sports betting options available to them in addition to the DraftKings online sportsbook. Dover, Manchester and Seabrook each have retail sportsbooks. With Seabrook located on the border of Massachusetts, its location can potentially draw people in from Massachusetts who are looking to place bets in a legal and regulated market. There are currently no legal sports betting options in Massachusetts.

Dover Latest Retail Location

Dover, the fourth largest city in the state, is the latest location to add a retail sportsbook. On Oct. 18, 2021, DraftKings announced the Manchester-based Filotimo Casino and Restaurant would be the latest facility to add a DraftKings Sportsbook.

Sports betting has been a success in New Hampshire since launching nearly two years ago and we are pleased to continue working with DraftKings and Filotimo Casino & Restaurant to expand sports betting opportunities for our players,” said Charlie McIntyre, Executive Director, New Hampshire Lottery.

“The new DraftKings Sportsbook at Filotimo in Dover will further cement New Hampshire as the premier sports betting destination in the northeast, and we know this location will continue to make a major positive impact on our ongoing efforts to maximize revenue for our schools here in New Hampshire.”

The new sportsbook features multiple sports betting kiosks, 11 televisions, access to premium food and beverage and a sports bar atmosphere.

DraftKings’ new sportsbook in Dover comes a little more than a year since it opened sportsbooks at The Brook in Seabrook in August 2020 and at Filotimo in Manchester in September 2020.
