A month after Oregon saw a sports betting handle record, the state saw a slight decrease in wagering activity in November.
The state recorded a total handle of $32.7 million, down 13.2% from October’s record $37.6 million. This November’s handle was 30.5% more than November 2020’s $25 million.
A record was set, though, for gross revenue in Oregon gaming at $4.4 million, an increase of 46.5% from October’s $3 million and 7.6% more than November 2020’s $4.1 million, which was the previous record.
The state’s Scoreboard app remains the only betting option for Oregon residents. It is operated by the Oregon Lottery.

Basketball was the most wagered sport in Oregon, taking in $13.5 million in bets. NBA betting interest is natural given the Portland Trail Blazers reside in Oregon.
Football took in the second-highest handle at $11.1 million, while soccer ($2.6 million), hockey ($1.9 million) and table tennis ($1.2 million) rounded out the top five.
Parlay betting accounted for $8.2 million of the handle.
Oregon bettors will soon have a familiar sportsbook brand to place bets: DraftKings. In August, the Oregon Lottery approved DraftKings’ takeover from the SBTech Scoreboard app that’s currently in use.
As part of the deal, DraftKings agreed to no longer offer daily fantasy sports in the state. There is still no official date set for when DraftKings Sportsbook will begin to operate in Oregon.
