GLMS network further strengthened with new member from Iceland - Islensk Getspa


Lausanne, 9 May 2018Islensk Getspa became today the 30th individual member of the Global Lottery Monitoring System (GLMS). An experienced sports betting operator and a traditional and firm supporter of Icelandic sportvalues of all levels – as all GLMS Members -  Islensk Getspa further strengthens the “glocal” network of GLMS, which combines local presence and global monitoring reach.
 
GLMS President, Ludovico Calvi states: “I am delighted to welcome Islensk Getspa to GLMS. Our network is receiving many requests from several countries every week and we are proud that Getspa have also joined forces to showcase their commitment to responsible sports betting operations and safeguarding of sports credibility and authenticity. Their contribution with local knowledge and information will further enhance the efficiency of our monitoring operations in the massive fight against sports manipulations”.  
 
Stefan Konradsson CEO of Islensk Getspa adds: “We are excited to officially join the GLMS. Thanks to the GLMS membership we shall be able to safeguard our customers and the public as a whole while protecting our financial sustainability. Building on six years of experience with the establishment in 2009 of ELMS with European Lotteries, GLMS went global in January 2015 extending the network to other continents.
