Camelot Illinois VP receives First Chair Award for Top General Counsel
Keith Horton honored for accomplishments, hard work, innovation and contributions to the legal community
CHICAGO, Aug. 29, 2018 – Camelot Illinois is pleased to announce that Vice President of Compliance and General Counsel Keith Horton has been selected as a First Chair Award recipient for Top General Counsel. He will be recognized at the First Chair Awards Gala tonight at the Montgomery Club in Chicago.
First Chair is an organization designed to bring together a community of accomplished attorneys in private practice with in-house counsel. For the annual First Chair Awards, private practice attorneys nominate their in-house peers for a variety of honors such as top general counsel, top litigation counsel and more.
“We are proud to celebrate this well-deserved honor for Keith,” said Colin Hadden, General Manager of Camelot Illinois. “His expertise and talent have been critical to our success, and we are happy to see him receive this recognition from his peers.”
Horton joined Camelot earlier this year after a career in private practice and public service, most recently as General Counsel for the Illinois State Treasurer’s Office.
Horton was nominated for the First Chair Award by past and current colleagues. Their nominations were based on Horton’s work spanning the length of his career and his community service. He is vice-chair of the Chicago Bar Association’s Administrative Law Committee, a trustee for the Yale Club of Chicago Foundation, and an ethics committee member of USA Taekwondo.
