Scientific Games Wins Best Casino Platform Supplier At 2018 EGR North America Awards

Company Also Receives Honorary Commendation for Best Payment

LAS VEGAS and ATLANTA,  (NASDAQ: SGMS) ("Scientific Games" or the "Company") today announced that the Company won Best Casino Platform Supplier at the 2018 EGR North America Awards, and received Honorary Commendation for Best Payments Company. The EGR North America Awards celebrate leading operators and service providers who have shown outstanding performance and innovation in the last 12 months. The winners were announced yesterday at an awards ceremony held at the Le Meridien in Philadelphia.

"We're honored that SG Digital was recognized as the Best Casino Platform Supplier of the Year and SG Lottery's cashless solution received the Honorary Commendation for the Best Payment Company at the 2018 EGR North America Awards," said Barry Cottle, President and CEO, Scientific Games. "We take great pride in using the most advanced technology in the industry to create the world's best gaming entertainment experiences. These recognitions from the industry are a testament to the incredible innovation and collaboration happening every day with our talented Scientific Games teams to help our customers achieve their goals."

The Best Casino Platform Supplier win for Scientific Games underpins the strength and success of the Company's new Digital division. Scientific Games' Open Gaming System (OGS) and Open Platform System (OPS) solutions bring customers to the forefront of the digital gaming landscape by offering unparalleled online technology and a library of 2,000+ games.

Scientific Games received Honorary Commendation for Best Payments Company for its cashless lottery solution. In 2017, the Company expanded its pilot program with the Pennsylvania Lottery to accept debit card payments – for the very first time in the U.S. – offering players a Payment Card Industry (PCI)-certified way to purchase their favorite lottery games in retail stores using technology directly integrated with the Lottery's central gaming system. By expanding payment options to include debit cards, the solution provides access to new players who may not carry cash and offers more convenience to existing players.
