SCOTTSDALE - How do you pass the time while at the Arizona Motor Vehicle Division?
Perhaps you scroll through your Facebook news feed, watch the people around you, but don't actually make eye contact, or pray to the heavens that your number is called next.
If all else fails, you could shell out more money and try your luck with the Arizona Lottery.
That's because the Arizona Lottery and the ADOT MVD are partnering on a "three-month pilot" program to see how many lottery scratchers people waiting at the MVD will buy.
Arizona Lottery vending machines have already been installed at MVD offices in Glendale and Scottsdale.
The Lottery said in its news release that "if both agencies see a successful return," more vending machines could be added at other Arizona MVD locations.
The MVD will be considered a lottery retailer and make 6.5-percent commission on its lottery sales, according to the Arizona Lottery.
The Glendale MVD is located at 16380 N. 59th Avenue and the Scottsdale MVD is at 7339 E. paradise Lane.
