International Game Technology’s subsidiary IGT Global Services has signed an agreement to provide its new digital PlayBingo platform to Veikkaus Oy, Finland’s state lottery operator.

The agreement was awarded to IGT as part of a competitive procurement process and the IGT PlayDigital solution will replace Veikkaus’ previous digital bingo platform.

“Based on our experience in lottery markets in Europe and North America, PlayBingo has proven to be a significant factor in player acquisition and player retention, while driving growth across our customers’ entire suite of digital product offerings,” said Declan Harkin, IGT senior vice president and COO, international.

“By adding the new PlayBingo platform to its programme, Veikkaus is once again demonstrating its position as one of the most technologically advanced lotteries in the world and as an operator committed to responsibly entertaining its players.”

Under the terms of the agreement, which is for four years with an option for a two-year extension followed by rolling annual periods, IGT PlayDigital will replace Veikkaus’ current bingo platform with its PlayBingo platform. It will also provide ongoing marketing and product support.

IGT’s PlayBingo platform offers exclusive game variants including Picture Bingo and Roulette Bingo, as well as licensed content. The platform offers both standalone and network bingo capabilities with other operators and is part of a complete suite of IGT PlayDigital products.
