This was an increase of $25 million from last fiscal year. In addition, Lottery sales were up more than 5 percent over the same period last year, with $1.333 billion in total sales. These strong sales and general fund transfers represent the best results ever in the Lottery’s history.

The CT Lottery’s Keno sales totaled $102.9 million, almost 20 percent over FY18.  Sales for the Lottery’s multistate draw games were especially strong and added $154.1 million in revenue.  Mega Millions and Powerball sales totals equaled $72.6 million and $81.5 million, respectively.

In accordance to its dedication to responsible gambling, the organization again gave $2.3 million to the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. The CT Lottery also sponsored various responsible gambling efforts throughout the year, including during the holidays.

In FY2019, the CT Lottery placed 200 automated vending machines throughout the state as an added convenience for players, with even more terminals slated to debut at retail. These vending machines sell all of the CT Lottery’s products, including Keno.
