New Caixa president promises FEBRALOT that lotteries will not be privatized

Pedro Guimaraes met for the first time since presiding the Caixa Economica Federal with the lottery of the whole country represented by state unions and the Brazilian Federation of Enterprises (FEBRALOT). There, he explained that the lotteries will undergo a process of change and will no longer be an area within the entity and will become a public company providing shareholder entry, but always with control by the manager.

On January 23 Febralot officials were introduced to the new president of Caixa who made a long explanation of his plans ahead of the institution and the reflexes for all lottery network. In his speech, Guimaraes commented mainly that there will be no privatization of lotteries and that in his management the retail channel will be highly valued.

The lotteries will undergo a process of change and will no longer be an area within the entity and will become a public company providing shareholder entry, but always with control by the manager.

The explanations were well received by all the present unions that sought in this first moment not to enter into great discussions, because the presidents took over a few days ago and are still becoming familiar with the problems of the network.

During the morning also took place a meeting with SUALO and the main subjects discussed were the Federal Lottery and its changes, along with the implementation of SUPERSETE.

Regarding the Federal Lottery, it was also informed that, as of March, the new distribution of tickets will be implemented, with Wednesday and Saturday undergoing changes in their quantities. The quotas will be 100,000 tickets these days promoting a reduction of more than 60,000 tickets each week.
