PURCELL NAMED SR. VP OF SALES AND MARKETING OF KY LOTTERY

Mike Purcell has joined the Kentucky Lottery team as the new senior vice president of sales and marketing.

Purcell comes to Kentucky from the Florida Lottery, where he served as deputy secretary of sales. He started there as a district manager in the Tampa area in 2001, and was later promoted to director of sales. Purcell’s work in Florida directly helped that lottery achieve record sales and transfers to the state. Prior to his time in Florida, Purcell first joined the industry at the Virginia Lottery.

He will join the senior management team as a direct report to President and CEO Tom Delacenserie. “I had the opportunity to see Mike’s great ability first-hand when we worked together in Florida, and I’m confident he will be an excellent addition to our team in Kentucky,” said Delacenserie.

Purcell will oversee all aspects of marketing and sales for the corporation, which has seen sales in excess of $1 billion for the last two years.
