SACRAMENTO, California - You can now check your lottery tickets on your smart phones.
'Check-A-Ticket' is a new feature that has been added to the lottery's mobile app.
It uses your phone's camera to scan the barcode on the Scratchers ticket.
If you choose not to use your cellphone to check your ticket, you can still take the ticket to a California Lottery retail location and have it scanned.
Lottery officials say this new app feature is simply faster access to that service.
