“I am excited and honored to be appointed by Governor Dayton to this important role,” said Mr. Doty. “I truly believe that my skills and passion for fiscal accountability and inclusive leadership will allow me to work together with my team and bring positive results for the lottery and the State of Minnesota.”
Commenting on the news, Andy Duncan said: “It has been a great privilege to have led Camelot and the National Lottery through an exciting period. I’m proud that total returns to good causes during the last six years. This money is distributed to society in order to change the lives of people across the country. “I believe that the purpose at the heart of the National Lottery has never been stronger, changing lives by creating a millionaire nearly every day whilst returning more than £30m to good causes every week,” he added.
"The Lottery's sole mission is to generate funds for students and schools in Florida, but we could not reach these remarkable contributions without the support of our dedicated players and loyal retailers," said Florida Lottery Secretary Tom Delacenserie. "Every time someone purchases a Florida Lottery product, from the panhandle to the keys, they're contributing to education in Florida and that truly is a win for everyone."
"The lottery gives millions of dollars to various programs across the state", said Barry Pack, Director of the Oregon Lottery. The Oregon Lottery could lose more than $100 million a year with the opening of Ilani Casino Resort in Ridgefield, Wash. That's according to the state's Office of Economic Analysis.
